Pleasanton, Calif.-based Natus Medical Inc. has released the new Vista ultrasound system. The system enables the use of ultrasound with an electromyogram (EMG) workstation, and will be available worldwide.
According to the company, the Vista ultrasound system enables the performance of musculoskeletal and abdominal studies allowing the visualization of anatomic structures and landmarks useful in the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders. It is a complementary technology to EMG studies performed in the hospital or private practice.
“We are excited to bring this breakthrough technology to the electrodiagnostic market, and we believe that it sets a new standard for patient care in the EMG setting,” said President and CEO Jim Hawkins. “Natus is committed to working with our physician customers to develop innovative solutions that improve patient care. The Vista system is a great example of this commitment.”
