Covidien Ltd., a Bermuda-based medical products maker, said Wednesday it agreed with Pinyons Medical Technology Inc. to buy two device lines. Pinyons Medical Technology, a private Park City, Utah-based device maker, will sell its Pinyons POWRSyringe injector and POWRSyringe Monitor handheld, manual injection and inflation device. The devices are used during surgery. Under terms of the deal, Covidien obtains assets related to the product lines. The devices have received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug administration.
