Job Description / Information POSITION OVERVIEW The Product Manager will be responsible for partnering with the European Marketing / Brand Manager and fellow Product Managers across Europe to (develop and) implement a marketing strategy for the instruments product portfolio in order to optimize customer satisfaction and drive market share across the markets. In doing so, the Product Manager will work with Stryker’s marketing and sales teams in order to drive engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of appropriate tools and messaging, thus driving market share. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the short to midterm tactical plans. This position is responsible for maximizing market opportunities for the business. This individual should be the market subject matter expert for the segment and products, understanding market trends, competitive intelligence, product performance and evidence requirements. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for the development of regional product launch forecasts and launch execution plans. This individual will also influence others in the development and execution of the country commercial strategy and marketing plan. RESPONSIBILITIES •Define commercial strategy together with European marketing, sales and management team •Develop and implement successful execution plans •Develop and implement targeted sales campaigns •Proactively support the sales organisation in delivering successful commercial and tender offers •Take responsibility for accurately forecasting new and existing products •Manage New Product Introductions effectively •Organise and execute sales force product training •Identify, plan, organise and execute marketing events and professional education activities in collaboration with the Professional Education team •Communicate effectively with the Country Sales Teams •Drive and influence sales force focus, effort and results •Deliver full promotional mix within agreed budget, including pricing •Develop and maintain relationships with surgeon champions and opinion leaders •Work with other parts of Stryker to adopt Best Practices PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES The following are the specific performance objectives for the position. In assessing competency and fit, all candidates will be benchmarked against these standards: 1, Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy for MedSurg ( specific segment): 2, Partner with European Marketing / Brand Manager, Product Managers and Sales Leadership teams to execute the marketing strategy. Partner with the wider sales teams to launch new products and facilitate the growth of existing products through relevant product and procedural support. 3, Knowledge and experience of the Product Portfolio and surgical procedures: Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the product portfolio and surgical procedures. 4, Competitor and Market Analysis: Proof of in depth knowledge, experience and exposure to competitor strategies and product claims: •Clinical and economic trends •Pricing •Market opportunities/gaps •KOLs and Key Centers •Current Performance of Brands within segment. •Tender management 5, Use data to continually refine the market strategy and feed back to colleagues and leadership teams across local market and Europe. 6, Build Trusting Relationships with Key Internal and External Stakeholders: Develop strong internal relationships with Sales and Marketing teams, country Business Unit Directors and General Managers. Drive brand awareness and penetration by networking and building relationships with key external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, medical and clinical groups, and external vendors. 7, Manage Marketing Budget: In conjunction with the European Marketing / Brand Manager manage and allocate marketing budget in order to generate greatest return on investment. 8, Demonstrate Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate continuous improvement and learning by initiating and implementing new and innovative solutions to the organization.
