Scripps Health, ranked among the top 15 health systems in the country, initially awarded prime vendor distribution to Medline in 2012. The global medical supplies company worked closely with Scripps supply chain leadership to provide supply management services across its entire continuum of care network. After nearly four years, Scripps Health has recently extended its distribution agreement with Medline. The three-year agreement has a value in excess of $180 million.
The prime vendor partnership provides Scripps Health with supply chain services for the entire continuum of care, including self-manufactured products, advanced logistics and technology platforms. The agreement will give Scripps ongoing access to Medline’s price integrity management tool, Insight Price Assurance.
Scripps and Medline will be implementing new products and programs during the new agreement extension.
“Scripps is a very forward thinking Health System. The strong collaboration between Scripps supply chain and Clinical leadership meshed well with Medline’s One Medline sales and support teams. Together we were able to strategically implement customized programs across the entire health system to help achieve clinical and financial goals,” said Marc Fairon, senior vice president of sales at Medline.
