Watertown, Mass.-based TechDevice Holdings has promoted Randall Sword to CEO. Sword (photo below) joined TechDevice in March as president/senior vice president of sales and marketing after leaving Creganna-Tactx where he was responsible for global sales and large account management.
“Randall has done an excellent job in refining the company’s strategy, augmenting the sales organization and driving the acquisition of AdvancedCath Technologies located in San Jose, Calif.,” said Scott Kehoe, managing principal with Inverness Graham Investments, the Philadelphia, Pa.-based private investment firm that owns TechDevice.
Sword says he looks forward to “the continued expansion of the TechDevice platform to complement and support our rapid organic growth.”
Ross Magladry, who had been named CEO following TechDevice's purchase by Inverness Graham, was promoted to the position of executive chairman, working closely with Sword and the board of directors to drive strategic initiatives and potential acquisitions. Magladry’s near-term focus will be the setup and build out of the company’s new Costa Rica manufacturing facility.
TechDevice develops and manufactures highly engineered catheter and guidewire systems and related components and sub-assemblies including extrusions, balloons, coils, ground cores, and braided sheaths. The company has facilities in Massachusetts, Minnesota, California and Costa Rica.
In addition, Lucian Bejinariu as has been hired as vice president of operations. He joins the company after spending the last few years at Teleflex Medical OEM running its facility in Plymouth, Minn.
“These promotions and new hires will give us the senior management leadership we need to continue to aggressively grow this platform, we are very excited about the team we have been building at TechDevice,” Kehoe said.
